What happened to movie files?

Recently downloaded few movie (mpg) files, accidentally deleted, recovered from recycle bin by tuneup undelete and was in good condition but unable to play in WMP 10 as format/codec absent.
Please help.

jus remember one line from the thread mentioned: k-lite mega codec pack.. it will rescue you
