I'll say tat u shud 1st luk @ ur AIEEE.....if u manage 2 get admisn thr its gr8.....as u stated even I also think with 71% marks u won't b able 2 get B.E.

U can also try for BCA it's also a gud course....But ther BCA Certificate value is lower than other two.....

I'm currntly doing BCA here in WB. I dnt knw nything bout fees structure / course structure for ur state.. For this u can refer to ur university website tat conducts BCA in ur state. Just google it.

firstly i did not got 71% for BE, i got 71 mks :(( dat is not at possible but they say it is computersied checking !!
I have never scored below distinction in any test / exam of my life !!

@AIEEE >> NO CHANCE according 2 me , coz i would like 2 study in reputated college in nashik

I m considering BCA for now
If i get engg i will go for it

Plz tell me whether i shud go for BCS then MCS or BCA then MCA ??

I guess you lost marks because you attempted every question. DONT DO THAT NEXT TIME. They have negative marks. Yeah it's computerised checking and it can't make errors. Your records in 1st to 12th standard does not indicate your capability in a high class competitive examination like AIEEE. I too only got 115 marks.

BCS = BCA and MCS = MCA and BBA=BBM=BMS.

@ MetalHead
I know bout AIEEE , it is CBSE board based exam and i m from state board so it was never my target, i did not attempt it full

I was targetting CET of my state which has no negative marking , i failed badly in dat too, Cet was very essential for admission in maharashtra

@krishna

Thanks, even i have planned ot go for BCA if not BE IT

@techking_dinesh

For me its BCA then MCA.

Well BCS then MCS is also gud.....

Its ur personal choise.........!!!
U can do a survey b/w these 2 in ur state, who hav done ths, go through ur university website and go through the syllabus for 3yrs........and choose urself.......

My personal choise is BCA then MCA.

they say i must go for bcs and then mcs to go as software research / developer !!

Is dat true ??

I dndn't think so.........many people r working as developer aftr completing their MCA.

I dn't knw y ny1 says tat BCA is more managemental studies than computers....

I'm doing BCA n I've C, C++, Data Structure, Digital Electronics, ASM with 8085, VB, OS, DBMS With Oracle, HTML, Networking, Computer Graphics, Java, Windows Prog., Unix Shell Prog., Linux like subjects along with an Industrial Training, Minor and Major Project.

I'm learning all these and I'm doing .NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP & MySql like subjects frm computer institues.

So I thnk I'm persuing a greater knwldge in computer field.

in BCA u'll also learn S/W management like sunjects

Well the diff b/w BCA/MCA and BCS/MCS lies in their name

One is dealing wid Computer Appplication and othr is dealing with Computer Science.

According 2 me I don't think tat I choose the wrong path. BCA then MCA is perfect for me. And aftr MCA the valuation will b more than a B.Tech in CSE/IT.

I wish that were true, but unfortunately it is not. There are errors. They are VERY few and VERY far between and affect very few students in the long run, but that's not to say there are no errors because there are. I have seen (granted, isolated cases.....no statistics since I don't have lakhs of friends :D) some instances with AIEEE and CET where a student verified his marks with the answer key released by his classes and yet ended up with a lower score than what was calculated based on the answer key.

Ultimately one needs to realize that the only 100% computerised exam in India is the BITS Pilani and IIT-JEE. At other points there is still some manual scanning/feeding of answers going on, and there might be slight oversights that affect a small minority of people.

This is exactly why all entrance tests in the USA (GRE, SAT) have a special re-checking option available for students wherein for a certain fee a human person would personally check the entered answers to see whether the calculated score is correct.......Don't think anything is perfect, *everything* has flaws. For an example, today solid state electronics (p-n junction, the transistors) replaced all vacuum tubes, but still people claim the vacuum tubes produce a better final signal :)
