I own a HP Server running Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003. I have lots of place in it and was wondering how I could use it to run a website? How can I set up a simple HTML site with IIS or is there any other software (web server software for Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003) which I can use to host websites easily?

do you want to run a public website or just for testing purposes ???

running a public website from home is a bad idea due to several reasons. but for the purpose of just trying it out you can configure IIS. its pretty simple.

apache is the numero uno when it comes to webservers. but MS as usual discourages the use of apache in SBS citing security issues.

if you want to try setting up website with apache+php+mysql in Windows environment use Wampserver or Xampp both are popular all-in-one installation and management softwares for apache+php+mysql combo.
