You can use WI-fi for that. You need a wi-fi card or wi-fi spots in you city. Search the forums for more info.

you can also pair ur laptop wid your gprs enabled cellphone wid a valid gprs service account (from your cellular operator). this way you are not limited to hotspots. whereever u get ur operators network coverage you can logon to the net!

speeds are comparable to dialup tho.
