way to backup whole gmail account.

Hello guys,
Is there any way i could easily take all of my gmail account data ( like mails, saved chats) to offline store ? any way other then manually doing it ?

AFAIK you could do this using Mozilla Thunderbird on IMAP. I could access my mails offline. I did that loooooong ago, so others might be able to help you better. You could google whether Thunderbird allows you to do that though.

Yes, you can use email clients like Thunderbird, Opera Mail, Eudora or Outlook Express to download all your mails. See Other ways to access Gmail - Gmail Help for directions...

If you have a huge list of email, you may have a very long download... You can also set gmail to download only latest mails (last 1 month I think)
