Right off the assembly line
Dear Support Desk,

I recently purchased Asus Xonar D2X (sl No - 14YACM002641). I inserted it in the PCI-E slot and connected the 4 pin floppy drive power cable with the power pin of the sound card. But after that when I switch on the power, no display is coming to the screen. My PC config is like this,-

Motherboard - Intel DH55TC
Chip - i3 (2010)
RAM - 6 GB DDR3
HDD - 2 nos. 500 GB seagata SATA and 1 unit of 1TB Seagata SATA.
DVD Writer - Sony
PCI-E graphics card
SMPS - 500w from Frontech.

I just want to know the minimum watt required to run the system. Will a Corsair 450w smps serve my purpose.

Please help me use this sound card.

Thanking you in advance.

Best regards,

tamal saha

450 watt SMPS will be more than enough for a Intel Core i3/i5 configuration like yours.

@ Op - just two questions :

1. which graphic card do you have ? [ be exact about the manufacturer, model and series number ]
2. If you remove the sound card your pc boots normally ?

Thanks for reviving an old thread .. seriously man, look at the Op's post date - he must have found his solution long ago.
