warning msg when i restart my laptop

Hey..
I have a Hp laptop "Dv 5200tx" having some problem when i restart it... its giving me warning msg...... as follow

SMART failure prdicted on hard disc 2

WARNING: Immediately back up ur data and replace your hard disc drive. A failure may be imminent

Press f1 to continue....

so guys plz help out to solve this problem..

I presume, by restart you mean to say - every time you power on your laptop. SMART is actually a standard to improve the reliability of hard drives. It reports issues with the hard disk which can happen due to a lot of reason. It gives a notice like you get due to it. But SMART is not always accurate. It is generally taken as a preventive measure to give you the heads up. So, If I were you - I would probably contact HP given that the laptop is still under warranty and get the hdd replaced.

And yes, backup your important data. You never know....

will generate errors if your harddisk is gonaa to die..
so backup yr data and replace yr harddisk..
