want to know the best s\w for tv tuner card

recently i bought a new tv tuner card Avertv Go 007. i dont know much about thwm and the s\w included is not so much good. i want to capture my favourite programmes and want to make their collection.can anybody tell me which is the best software for tv tuner card in order to get crystal clarity.

also i want to compress them in .avi format so which is best s\w for compressing? hoping reply soon........

i forgot to tell my conf.

amd athlon 2800+,msi,768mb, avertv go 007 tv tuner card .the prob. is that when i capture any clip,the speed of audio and video mismatches.

Use intervideo winDVR 3 . it captures video in VCD,SVCD,and DVD format. (high quality) chk out this months DIGIT DVD its in there.and it got the digit bestbuy award this month

Another vote for WinDVR.It's the best of the lot,in my opinion.

Yes WinDVR for capturing. And for compression, you should use Nero Vision Express to convert it to MPEG4. It will give you the best quality at a decent compression - much better than MPEG2.
