    18 Months man ... they could have hired some indian composers but obviously the sounds would then be traced to some song from some unknown foreign singer ..

    Imagine "Tera Tera Tera Suroor" in place of the normal windows startup sound ... wow that'll be cool ... Should Try :D

    It can be done. Not only Vista sound, but any sound of your choice!
    1. First convert the sound to 'WAV' format and save it.
    2. Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Devices>Sounds Tab
    3. Look in Program events for 'Start Sounds'
    4. Select it and click Browse.
    5. Browse to the saved 'WAV' file and click OK
    6. Repeat the same for 'Exit Windows' to your 'WAV' file.
