One way is to download the definition updating file from the anit-virus vendor's website. For eg. for Norton AntiVirus defs go to www.symantec.com and download the intelligent updater, it's an exe file. You can run it on the other systems on the network. Similarly you can find the virus defs of other AntiVirus too.

there are 2 kinds of updates - liveupdate and intelligent updater. liveupdate means using the software to updat and intelligent updater is an exe file available at their site as geek_rohit sed. use dis and run on all pcs on the network.
