Hi
My system shows artifacts(lines at particular surface):
UT04
NFSHP2
X2
Chronchles of Riddick
Hitman Contracs(THe demo shows patches of dots in some places)
but mainly at particular places , lines in ut04 over edge of wall, small lines one after the other vertically,in X2 or something at a res of 1280 or something >1152 it shows a line moving with cursor.

My XFX 6600gt pci-e 128mb has been changed and the problem stil persists. Even reinstalled win xp.

Also,in Cossacks 2 and Rise of Nation there is an affect that the pixels are vibrating when the mouse scursor is moved.

How do I correct the problem?

My Config
Amd 64bit 3200Winchester + Asus A8N-E + XFX 6600gt 128 PCI-E + Creative Sound Blaster Live 24bit (pci) + 160gb seagate sata ncq + Sony FDD + Liteon DVD rom + BenQ CD-RW 52x32x52 + Antec SL450(25A on +12va line) + Navtech Cabinet with temperature display + Samsung 793MB + Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse + Microsoft Internet Keyboard + Microtek 800va ups + Altec Lansing 251(the 45watts RMS model)

Thanks

check temperatures....are u overclocking? or maybe using 3rd party drivers?
most probably its a problem of overheating...make sure u get plenty of air flow inside ur cabinet...its not a problem of power-supply i guess since u ve a very good PSU!

I am assuming that your using the latest drivers from nvidia. Dont!! The best drivers till date is the 66.93 anything above that screws ur card quite a bit. I upgraded and then downgraded within a couple of days. Install the 66.93 drivers.

Care to explain :?: I have found no probs with any except 77.72. Avoid these at any cost. Screwed up my video overlay. No amount of driver changes (including running Driver Cleaner in between) helped. Had to reinstall Windows. Now I run 77.76 beta from guru3d. No probs.

Haven't seen you for a while here. Welcome back.

Looks like you mean texture tearing. Set Vsync to "application controlled" in your driver settings and set it to ON in the game settings.

this is my second 6600gt(replace first one)
how do i manage not to overheat
changing drivers , i might have changed them to some other but to no avail
no oc,no omega with this card till now

v-syn is not correcting the prob
and it seems as if each pixel is vibrating individually while moving when i move the curor within the game).i can move but there is this effect, of each pixel moving abt it mean position
