i am in desperate help.I had 4 partion(total 40 GB) C,D,E,F.Using partion magic 8 i tried to merge partition E with partition F.But while the process was going on ,the was a error and to my horror i found that my computer showed only C and D .No E and F drive. Now what to do and what are the sotwares to recover the data in the two drives .Plz reply ASAP.

Really critical situation. If you are getting partition error in Partition Magic then try Windows Disk Management.(right click My Computer then Manage and under storage disk management).I think it will help you to solve the problem.

If you know Dos mode partitioning then you can try it as a 2nd option.

For data recovery soft just search the forum.
Active File Recover or Easy Recovery and many softs r available.

Hi dude try to recover the data using
"ONTRACK EASY RECOVERY PRO". I have used it and is the best to recover data on both fat32 and ntfs.
Now try if the partions are visible in partion magic...

You can use Active Partition Recovery. Its a software which recovers lost partitions in dos mode.

But dont use your pc much as the more you use it, the lesser chances you have of recovering them.
