I have a DSL 502T router for MTNL Triband (broadband).
I have connected it currently with USB port with my PC.
It also has a ethernet port.
If I connect the router with ethernet port, will I get better speed/performance or with USB connection?

Ethernet is always a better option. It is more stable. Plus you dont have to dial in.

^^^

u dont have to dial in with the USB either

for me both are good
but ethernet is preferable coz it would give some work for the LAN card
leavin the USB ports for other hardware

I connected the router using ethernet port.
And guess what, the speed is slower compared to USB port connection.
So will rule in favor of USB.

Eth is far better. I tried both.

But a Eth card is of only around 250 so why not buy that and free up a usb for other devices..

I use Eth cause its better (And all my USB ports are full..)

Well, I don't need to buy an ethernet/lan card.
I have one onboard.

I have MSI Neo2-FX motherboard with onboard nVidia nForce networking controller (in other words, an ethernet/LAN port/jack).

I used to connect the router thru USB & used to get better connectivity & speed.
After switching to ethernet, I get terrible speeds.

So, for me, ethernet is out & USB is in.
