USB mouse not working

My desktop pc has a usb mouse.

This mouse works for only For a hour or half then it stops working.

If i restart pc then it again works fine for a hour and then stops working

i changed usb port put it another but prob is same

Is this OS(win 32) prob or mouse prob?

probably its the mouse problem...
have you tried ur other usb devices..
if they too stop then ur usb might be in need of repairs

Try the mouse in linux or in some other machine for more than 4-5hours and see wheather the problem persists.

As u said it is behaving same in all the USB ports luks like the mouse is faulty.

BTW try updating mobo drivers also.

And see what other members suggests.

i don't think there is prob. in usb ports becoz all other devices are woking properly
in fact mouse was also working good but suddenly from last two days it get freeze specially if I am not using it for some time(while watching movie)

if it's freezing then surely the mouse has become faulty
dont worry today a mouse is as cheap as Rs.70/- so go get a new one..

I also found in some another forum suggesting for an adapter to plug in to the PS/2 mouse port.
how much it costs?
