USB HUB 2.0 problems

i have a usb hub 2.0.
whenever i connect pendrives to it and transfer files, speed gets reduced to 1 mbps,
while the actual speed of my pendrives are 7 mbps, i dont know what is the problem, i have tried on friend's computer, but same result, also a messege is showing, "this device will work faster in usb 2.0

usb hub divides power among usb ports so many usb devices connect as usb 1.1 instead of usb 2.0 because of reduced power.usb hub is not recommended for simultaneously using many usb devices.either get a better hub preferably with its own power(like an adapter) or directly use usp port on mobo/cabinet.

well... u mean to say i have generic usb hub?
btw what is hub with mobi/cabinet?
