URGENT!!! USB 2.0 aint working

My pen drives aren't working...USB 2.0 ain't working, the drive is not recognised but there is power...Do i need some drivers for it..I have Windows XP Pro...
PLs help me...

r d other USB devices workin properly?

also u said dat usb 2.0 not workin, so duz dat mean u get d message dat d .......device can run faster........

u must enable d USB interfaces from BIOS

don't panic
first check with all the ports ....if there is no prob with the ports then do the following:
go to device manager then uninstall and reinstall the usb drivers you may need xp cd with this your problem will get solved if it weren't a USB drive itself which might have got problematic

in my computer i have memory card readers which are shown as USB ports...
Now in device manager it is showing a yellow question mark against USB in other devices....but in USB Controllers it is showing working fine.

what do i do now shashank4u...none of the ports are working..I have checked both back and front ports

since d usb controllers r being dispalyed in device mananger, den u must uninstall d usb drivers and reinstall them 4 them 2 function properly

where do i get the drivers???

i used the wizard to install them automatically but it didn't install it...Also letting it search on the internet proved futile and I still cannot find the drivers

d drivers actually came with my mobo DFI-AD77 PRO
wat u can also try is uninstall d USB controllers 1 by 1 and den on next win start it wud get reinstalled

c if it duz ne thin gud

but i stiil think dat it is ur length dat is d problem becos i remeber readin in d Agony Aunt columns of DIGIT/IC-CHIP, wer d d00d faced issues wit detection wen usin an ext cable 4 USB, and d soln was also abt d len being 2 long

as 4 d yellow mark being present only in other devices, it is bcos der is no problems wit ur USB controllers, dey r workin well, but wen u connect d usb thru d ext cable and d usb drive is unable 2 send proper signal back 2 mobo, d mobo is unable 2 make out wat device is attached, it gets marked as unknown and also yellow mark bcos d attached device duz not seem 2 b doin anythin useful
dis last para is my interpretation of d prob, and not learned frm any ext source. I CUD B WRON IN MY ANALYSIS. if i am, plz do not flame me 4 d BS

SOrry to see this..

I faced the same problem. None of the USB ports worked.

Took it to the vendor and he replaced the USB and LAN ports .. Now its working properly.

I suggest you to take the mobo to the vendor.. If its still under warranty...

lookin at pic.... usb drivers r not installed. try to search & install for usb drivers update provided by microsoft people (if ur win xp is lower version than sp1). may b tat can work.

or use some live cd of some linux and insert pen drive b4 bootin to know whether its hardware prob or not. Do this b4 goin to vendor.
