Urgent PC requirement for Home Multimedia Use

I just sell my 06 years old system and now I am going to purchase a new system in next week , so help me in getting a good config for home.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Surfing Internet heavily like opening 15-20 browsers at one time. Multimedia Usage - Watching dvd's and blue ray(in future) and listening music. Watching TV through Airtel HD setbox (Will directly connect to HDMI out and SPDIF out of the set box to the monitor and speaker respectively). Softwares - Photoshop, winzip, nero (burning dvd's, cd's and blue ray). simple games like need for speed.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:20-22 k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows 7 & 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:Not required

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:Not required

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:I already have the following hardware from my previous computer:
1. HDD - a) 500 GB SATA SEAGATE
b) 160 GB SATA SEAGATE
2. MONITOR - AOC 23" IPS I2353
3. UPS - APC 600VA
4. SPEAKERS - Z5500
5. Asus Xonar D2X sound card
6. Lenovo External DVD Writer

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:7-10 days

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:I can assemble the system but will get it assembled from the shop where I buy. I am bit lazy in assembling myself its boring work for me.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:New Delhi. I prefer Nehru Place. Online shops are costlier.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I am confused between Intel and AMD:

INTEL
CPU - 4th gen I5 4430 or 4th gen Pentium dual core or 4th gen i3
M/B- 4th gen any reliable motherboard having USB 3.0 back & front support, SATA 3-6 GB/s ,VGA & HDMI output, SPDIF out at back.
RAM - 4GB corsair vengeance or G Skill ripjawx X series
PSU - Antec VP 450 , (bp300 is out of question due to 03 sata power connectors since requirement is atleast 04 sata power connectors ) or any cheap local 500 watt smps (Rs 500-1000)
Cabinet- A Good cabinet with USB 3.0 support or any cheap local cabinet like zebronics (Rs 1000-1500)
(Blue Ray writer - Reserved for future purchase)

AMD
CPU - A10 6600K or A10 6800K ( is there any diffenrence in graphics in these)
M/B- Any reliable motherboard having USB 3.0 back & front support, SATA 3-6 GB/s ,VGA & HDMI output, SPDIF out at back.

Thanks for your suggestion !!!

I was thinking of the same. But one thing is in my mind.

1. Is AMD A10 6600 or AMD 6800 APU will be a better combo than Intel.
2. & Is there any advantage with better branded psu's like antec or seasonic in my case.

Where is the graphic card? Neither processor or motherboard have a graphic chip.

Thanks for your valued suggestions!!!!!!!!

Now I am looking more towards INTEL config as suggested by harshilsharma63.

In the INTEL config M/B suggested by harshilsharma63 is Asus B85M-G, how it is compared to gigabyte GA-B85M-D3H

My 2nd question is what about good PSU's for my config like Antec VP450
or any local PSU will do the job for my config
and the good PSU's like antec and seasonic will be a waste of money for my config.

> A good PSU is always recommended. See if you can extend your budget by 2600 and get an Antec VP450P.

> A good PSU is always a justified investment.

never. It will actually help in reducing most pc related problems as Psus are the heart of a system. If you can extend a little more get antec vp450p as suggested by harshilsharma63.

okay I will try to extend my budget for the PSU.
But M/B confusion is still there.
Asus B85M-G or Gigabyte GA B85M D3H which is more reliable and which has good after sale service...

+1 for this.It will provide you all round performance. Even though i5 is powerful but getting it without GPU make no sense. and for your requirement this will better it even will let you play latest games at medium to low settings.

^^I mean to say if OP someday decides to play latest games i5 without GPU can't handle those without GPU, he needs to spend more for GPU increasing his budget while A10 can run it at medium to low settings.
OP has clearly mentioned PC will be mainly used for multimedia and for his requirement A10 is more than enough

How about a balanced rig, bringing both CPU power and decent GPU into the system:-

AMD FX-6300 @ 7.6K
Asus M5A97 LE @ 5.6K
Kingston HyperX Blue/ Corsair Vengeance/ G-Skill RipjawX 4GB 1600 MHz @ 2.6K
NZXT Source Elite 210 @ 2.9K
Antec VP450 @ 2.6K
Lenovo M6811 gaming Mouse @ 0.65K
Normal MMC Keyboard @ 0.3K
Sapphire/Gigabyte/MSI HD 6670 1GB DDR3 @ 4.6K

Total: 26.8K

In terms of performance, apart from high end gaming, FX-6300 is not at all far behind i5 4430, it is just behind it and for OP's purposes, it is more than enough. Now for gaming at 1080P, even with low or mid quality setting, I am not sure how capable is HD 4600 for playing new games. But 6670 DDR3 will definitely provide OP with enough power to run racing games like NFS in decent settings at 1080P.

his uses are mainly multi tasking for which i5 will thrash a10 out of the box.He also mentioned that he will play old games. So no to a10 from my side

If he can do same thing spending less what is the point in spending more he is not buying PC to run benchmarks but for simple multimedia tasks and if he can play latest games with almost same budget why he shouldn't.
@OP Get system suggested by bavusani only change processor to A10 5800.Since there is not much performance difference between A10 5800 and A10 6800.
