Urgent Help needed | Need help related to Domain Name

Guys. One of my friend wants to host a one page website. It will just have a address in it and nothing else. He is getting a .COM domain name for 350RS and the question is just for one page does he need to buy a domain space also?

He will have to buy the domain name. As about hosting space, he can either buy reliable space for few hundred bucks per year or use free hosts.

No my question is just for one page is a domain space is required or the domain name comes with a index.html type of page

No Domain name don't comes with index.html. You have to create it over server space

oh ok then..but when you buy a domain name and hit the url it shows a blank page with some text fields in it. So i was wondering where for that comes

It's just Index/ of files present on a given server.
