Urgent help needed for BSNL 900UL broadband connection !!!

I hav got the account and password for 900UL HOME plan from BSNL office but i dont know how to connect to internet.
I am from pune.

Here are some queries:
1) what should be the default gateway or should i set it blank.
2) what should be the DNS server address or should i set it to automatic.


The modem i am using is D-Link GLB-502T ADSL2+ Router. I will seek help about modem configuration after trying my hands on Modem.

default gateway as 192.168.1.1
IP -> 192.168.x, where x=any value from 2 to 255,
subnet mask - 255.255.255.0 and
DNS servers are 61.1.96.69 and 61.1.96.71.
If you set these values, then only you can access the 192.168.1.1 web admin page.

Also are you using the modem supplied by BSNL or purchased from other dealer.

i m not using BSNL connection i just searched google for ur problem and got the reply which i had posted

But i suppose there are many BSNL users in this forum who didnt bother to look at this, anyway am on broadband as far as it remains 256kbps.

^dude, you should try searching in the forums, i searched for the term "bsnl" in "Advanced search", & found the answer in 14th post. (in which i had replied ) [result- Bsnl Help. other results- results]

btw didnt BSNL provide you that Booklet?

no they havent provided any booklet.

All they told me was my account name and password.

I tried that too, it didnt work.

I am trying out since last night, still no luck.

Phoned to bsnl office and they told me will be sending technical engg soon.
I applied for broadband on 18th, feb 2007.
