add in a graphics card dude....P35 has no onboard video....

if ur not a gamer or just a casual gamer go for the 8500GT....if u want to play games at decent settings then go for the 8600GT.

now i dnt know whether mobo's screwed or the PSU... so count those too.... Mobo doesnt have an AGP Slot, but has 3 PCI Slots... n the other usual stuff!

yup.... also throw in an OEM version of Windows SP1 Home Edition if the mobo is not at fault.... if mobo is at fault.. then forget it!!

One suggestion, use your older 160 GB 7200 RPM PATA HDD / DVD RW / Sound Card / Cabinet and look for this bellow config... if possible of course...

2 GB Single Stick DDR-II 667 MHz @ Rs. 2200 /- + TAX

suppose i buy gfx card also...

with above config, get ur self a 8600 GT 256 MB which would be Rs. 5500/- + TAX !!!

U cant get best deal for ur old PC..so I will also suggest you to use your old PC parts.

From old PC..u can use:
1) cabinet
2) DVD writer..U have
3) PATA hard disk
There is not much different between SATA and PATA speed.
4) UPS
5) sound card
6) keyboard +mouse

And sell RAM from ur old system.

Now..I think choto cheeta has suggested U right configuration.

PSU ki jagah cabinet ho gaya..

n the dvd writer n hard disk both conected as IDE... wont there be a spce prob in connecting them??? like jungle of cables, eh??

any local non branded Large Cabinet should be bellow Rs. 750/- in Kolkata I buy large (really large ones) at Rs. 650/- each ...

There are jumper settings for this type of occation

arre i know all about hard disk connection n jumper settings etc etc... wat i m saying is dat ki ROM goes almost on top, n hard disk is below in its own place... will the primary connector and the secondary connector of the IDE cable be able to reach both the ROM (at top) n hard disk (in its own rack)... hope now u understood!!

U can attach another IDE cable to extent and add both ROM and hard disk.
