update android using pc

Hello digit,
My sister has a micromax canvas a1. She got notification of android 5.1 update. But the problem is our wi-fi router is not working properly. So can I use my pc to download and install the update. My pc internet connection is working fine. Thanks.

Not sure about the exact procedure for Micromax but there should be an option in the included software (like Nokia PC Suite).

But how? Whenever I connect it to pc, I get only two option - media transfer and camera. And I didn't get any software cd in the phone box.

Recharge your carrier with a data card and update via your phone itself.
