Just boot into XP SP2 and format D: drive ;)

But u'll still get the entry for Media centre in the Boot loader, so just do any of following:

1.) Open C:\boot.ini (it'll be hidden & read-only) and remove the entry of media centre.

2.) Its the easiest method! just type msconfig in RUN dialog box and goto Boot.ini tab and click on Check all paths button.

Just boot in XP and delete the files of Media Centre from here also edit the boot.ini via System Properties. You need to delete the lines of Media Centre.
    Don't delete this:

    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
