Unable to Install Directx...Error Comes...Installation Failed.

When I try to install directX an error pops up "an internal error occured refer to directx.log" any ideas?

When i checked the log it says!

Please Help to install this. Im not able to hear Sound in Prototype 2.
There the error is XAudio is not available please udate your directx version.

which OS? windows 7? and have you tried using the windows update as it may have some DX update available for you. also which package are you using?

from where u got the DX setup?
try to download it from official MS site..also update the video drivers first
