Trojan Horse Downloader.Generic.GUK Virus - how to remove

Hai! Recently I have formatted my hard disk and installed Windows 98 (C Drive) Windows XP (E Drive). AVG Antivirus updated version and Zone Alarm were running when I was connected to net. Unfortunately, Windows XP was infected with the following virus.
These viruses were infected in e:\System Volume Information\_restore BADCD1F4-B074-42B7-A17E-C77D)

(a) run.exe (Trojan horse Downloader.Generic.GUK)
(b) A0005677.exe (Trojan horse Downloader.Generic.GUK)
(c) A0011319.exe (Trojan horse Downloader.Generic.GUK)./

can anybody inform me how to remove this virus and what is the procedure.
AVG Antivirus could not be able to heal this virus.

For future reference -If this type of new virus were found, what is the procedure to know to delete and what are the websites are helpful to contact.

Reformat the drive it is better ...Use NAV 2006 for better security...

D/l & install windows XP SP2, if u don't hv it yet!

Then also enable Automatic Updates, so that ur windows XP will be safe in future.

delete all the system restore points. stop the systemrestore service and put it on manual.

run ewido security suite and any othe good antispy like avast or ms antispy.

it shud solve ur problem. later however i do suggest u keep ur systemrestore service/facility on and running.
