Touchscreen laptops

There is a lot of talk about laptops with touchscreen facility becoming mainstream now, at least in the US. How long do you think it will take for it to hit our shores? Is it worth waiting for it, given that Windows 8 is primarily designed for touch functionality?

there is no such talk.

lets see you show some numbers about this "mainstream" stuff.
i dont think anyone would choose a touch laptop over a non-touch one (price is a factor)

the fun of having a touchscreen will run out in the very first hour when you'll realize using the keyboard/touchpad is faster and doesn't cause your arm to ache.

^^^ :agreed::+1:

just try it once if you have a desktop or a laptop, try to normally work on it, and make touching gestures on the screen, in 5-10 minutes, your arms will start to ache, and you'll say: "maybe now nothing can't beat mouse and keyboard for a pc.."
it's all a myth created by microsoft that users want a "hybrid" of desktop and touch devices, it's only what they want to implement on us, i have'nt met even a single PC user (who know it well), who wants his PC transformed into touch screen device, they all hate it and want the touch just to be in tablets or smartphones, thats it.. :twisted:.
