Well Emacs is the one for me.
I could never manage the escapse sequences in vi :)
Maybe that's because i learnt Emacs first and tried to learn vi later on :)

this vs that is no war but a debate which has existed ever since human evolution started. I feel KDE is much better than GNOME. I have got both the lastest versions and must say KDE rulez. It got true transparency and myriad of features. On the other hand Gnome has also become beautiful but due to lack of extensibility and oversimplicity is what makes me a bit uncomfortable with it. For all new users.......KDE is much beautiful and is more similar to windows in terms of its menus and overall appearance. Go for the latest one guys!! BTW see this screenshot of mine using Gnome. It looks really good.

Not to mention its technologically way superior to what winblows,vista will offer in comming future. :)
