Beats Audio is just a software. It boosts the lower frequencies, well you could say its just an equalizer app. The sound quality depends on the audio hardware and unfortunately One X doesn't have good audio hardware thanks to the Tegra 3 chip. The One S with Qualcomm S4 chipset has good sound though !

A member here bought a One X after Galaxy Note, he said that One X sound is better than his Note.

Note/GS2 have crap sound quality.
So yes One X is better than GS2/Note in terms of SQ.
