Time taken to download Virus pattern file using live update

I am using Pc-Cillin Internet Security 2005. I have a dial up connection from sancharnet. The thing is, while updating virus scan pattern file it's updated within 150 seconds.

My current Virus scan pattern file is 3.205.00
Size of pattern file is 16.9 MB
Size of compressed file is 8.2 MB

Even if i assume that the compressed virus pattern file is downloaded then it is about 55KB/sec transfer rate.

Is it really posssible with dialup?
Anybody using the same software post your times here.

The full pattern file will probably not be downloaded... It will download only new definitions and add them to the existing pattern file to create new updated pattern file...

I also use PC-Cillin Internet Security 2005. I have bband connection and download usually takes less than a minute... I dont think there is any problem in your case...
