Recently I have been facing this problem with my web browser (Firefox 16) wherein it displays 'The connection is untrusted' page even when I access Gmail or other secure sites. I have tried deleting the 'profile' folder in Firefox but it didn't help; the error also shows up in IE 9 (a 'Certificate error: Navigation blocked' page appears), so I guess that's not a problem with Firefox alone. Can somebody help me out? I'm running Windows Server 2008 Standard with a BSNL broadband connection. I don't seem to have any viruses and some sites do open.

Thanks in advance.

1. disable your AV/IS app and try
2. Have a look at these :
Certificate error - Gmail Help
"This Connection is Untrusted" error message appears - What to do | Firefox Help
"This connection is untrusted" message on many (most?) sites (including some of Mozilla's) with V16.0.1. | Firefox Support Forum | Mozilla Support
3. Unistall IE9, FF completely, run CCleaner ( the registry cleaning module to ) and install the latest version of those browsers and try thjem with every kind of third part addons disabled.
