Hi, i am gonna buy two systems, one for my friend (35k max budget) and one for my dad (20-25k).
a) For a friend.
b) For Dad.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: a) Decent gaming performance, working on softwares like AutoCAD, he's into machine designing.
b) Office work.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: a) 35k max (not even 1k more, he has already extended from 30k).
b) 20-25k (Keep it close to 20k if possible)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: a) no
b) no

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: a) Windows 7/8 (he has the disk for it, so don't consider it under the mentioned budget)
b) windows 7 (i have a spare license with me).

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: a) 500GB-1TB
b) 500GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: a) Yes, 17-21 Inch, FHD if possible
b) 17-21 Inch, FHD if possible.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: a) building from scratch, so want everything.
b) Keyboard, mouse.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: a) Next week most probably.
b) Next week most probably.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Yes, it'll be assembled by me.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Gonna buy from nehru place.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Yes, suggest parts with good after sales service.

^ +1 for both configurations..
go to Calculate Computer Cost By Brands and Model and find best shops for cheaper components :p
you can save money on dad's config by using h61 MoBo,
by using IN1930 monitor which costs 3k less.
so now your configuration came down to 21k

Hmm, Prices gone very higher now a days.
But you got 3rd gen i3 based configuration, for office use you rarely need to upgrade this rig for next 5^ years, this is more than sufficient.
congrats.
You bought dell IN 2030 which is nearly 6.2k. I've suggested IN1930 which is 5.1-5.2k means 1k less. Dell in1930 is suffice for office works.
Also you bought zebronics Bijli it is prised 1k, yoy should get any NORMAL cabinet at 0.7k then you rig come to 26k.
Its OK now you got much better components.

dell IN2030M costed 5.8k to me, so not too much increase from 1930 :p, but bijli costed me 1450/-.., saw other cabinets from i-ball, intex, but i liked the glowing fan in the front of bijli, so bought it.. :p

:cool::clap2::doublethumb: Congrats op

thnxx both of you, you both helped me in finding the best parts for my dad's rig, i am satisfied with the performance.. :doublethumb:
