Upto 35000, preferably around 30000


2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Light; 11" - <14" screen; Less than 2.4 kg


3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

a. Like: Lenovo


4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

Programming in Codeblocks, IDLE, Eclipse, and less frequently on Matlab and Qt.
Web Browsing (a lot).
Editing on Office Suite.
Multitasking.
Watch videos for max 5 hours/week.


5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?
1360*760


6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

The lighter the better.
Local or online are fine.
I would prefer a GPU, if possible.
Battery Life of about 5 hours.
Preferably a newer model, with USB 3.0.

An acquaintance is offering to give me a year old Crucial m4 64 GB SSD (No warranty here, purchased in US). Will it be of any use ? How much should i pay him ?

Samsung NP300E5X-A01IN is a very good option for you but you have to compromise on USB 3.0 port here.And also it is a 15" laptop but weights 2.3Kgs

Thanks @aroraanant , but i bought an Asus U32U on Saturday for 27k :)

Don't pay him more than 3k
K. Although with
30 sec boot time
5 sec shutdown
2 sec resume
minimal loading time

on the U32U, i dont think i ll need a SSD for a few months atleast.
