Suggestions for Config.

Hi Guys,
i came up with these 2 config.

AMD Phenom x6 1090T 3.2GHZ Processor
ASRock/Asus 890GX Extreme3 Mother Board
( AMD Radeon HD 4290 Graphics 512MB )
( 128MB DDR3 1333MHz SidePort Memory )
( Multi VGA Output To D-Sub, DVI-D and HDMI )
( 7.1 Channel HD Audio With Bluray Support )
RAM 2x2GB CORSAIR DDR3 2000
Hard Drive 1TB Western Digital
Cooler Cooler Master HAF 922
Cabinet


2nd Configuration for PC

CPU: Phenom II X6 1090T (Thuban, 6 cores/6 threads, 3.2 GHz, 6 MBL3);
Mainboard: ASUS Crosshair IV Formula (Socket AM3, AMD 890FX);
Memory: 2 x 2 GB, DDR3-2000 SDRAM, Patriot Viper II Sector 5 PC3-16000
(PVV34G2000LLKB);
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5870;(Optional)
HDD: Western Digital 1TB;
CPU cooler: Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme with Enermax Everest fan;
PSU: Tagan TG880-U33II (880 W);


If you see i still don't have any idea for monitor and cabinet.
in short i still need a good config. so help me.

1. What is the purpose of the computer?
A: Video Editing Mainly. Burning Lots of DVD's, Wedding Video Editing.

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes.

3. What is your MAX budget?
A: Not sure Yet but around 30k-40k

4. Planning to overclock?
A: No.

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Windows 7

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 1TB

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: 21" is ideal. but i don't want this kind of monitor. i noticed images on this kind of monitor is really tough to edit. after finishing editing when i copy it to 2nd pc with CRT monitor results are funny LOL. so don't want this kind of monitor. *www.techshout.com/images/lg-w1941s-lcd-monitor.jpg


8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 8

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Yes

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: 2-3 Days

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: No.

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: no.

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Gujarat

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: Nothing.

yes. I think a core i5 2400 does much better for AV editing. Replace HD6850 in thetechfreak's config with one of these:

ATI FirePro V4800
NVIDIA Quadro FX 380

desiibond, for video editing I don't think workstation cards are required, I think they are required for Rendering related work like working in 3D studio max, Maya etc.
A standard gaming card will be sufficent for standard video editing. I will suggest a GTX 460 1 GB card as CUDA is little matured over AMD APP.
