I am planning to buy the following components for upgrade:
Intel Sandy Bridge i5 2400 / 2500
Intel DH67BL
Corsair Value 2 X 4 GB
Corsair CX500V2
Seagate 2 TB
A DVD Writer

Already have:
Seagate 500GB
Zebronics Shangrilla with 2 Case Fans

Will add later:
HD5670 / 5770 / 6670 (one with 1 GB DDR5)

I need to buy a UPS for the same. Actually will be using the same right now with my current system that runs on 1 Wipro eMerge 525va (battery almost dead so purchasing right now).

I have seen suggestions for Intex 1 KVA UPS (Price 1800INR) but I have not found that any where on any website. Moreover, I am a little concerned about its quality / backup.

So, Suggestions for the same friends. Thanks a lot in advance.

the intex is good.
our forum member cilus' friend uses it with similar pc (except a 6850) and gets good backup for around 30min.

thanks a lot for the quick reply. :) don't know much but i think 6850 is a high end graphics card (better than 5670/5770/6670) so it will support my future setup easily. right?

but I have not found it any where at Rs.1800 :(

Those prices are given by their authorised dealer. the dealer damn forcefully said it is not at all possible for anyone to sell Intex 1KVA for anything like that amount.

APC BR-1100 is available for INR5,000/- and
APC BE-600 is available for INR2,200/-

Hello I also have a query. I have 800watts smps not sure which ups is best to go. As if i go by smps it would cost me atlest 10k for ups. But i have a home ups to power my pc. Still i am using 2x hd 5770 but so far never crossed 500 watts But may in future if adding some more components. As my backup time for battery is not important as my home ups 1kva with 660 watts is already powering with 150ah so my only query is previous 600va gone mad in 1 months time i wanted to though i had my home ups other devices used to run at home so i wanted a ups with sufficient wattage to handle than battery backup time.
