Suggestion for Multimedia(non gaming) system at 30-35K budget

Hi Guys,

I need a suggestion as to the best multimedia system that can be created with a budget of around 30-35K.
I was thinking of:

Processor
AMD Phenom II x4 840
4800

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H
4000

RAM
Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9
2520

HDD
Seagate 1TB 7200.12
2700

DVD Writer
Sony
1050

PSU
FSP Saga II 500W
2000

Case
Zebronics Bijli (w/o psu)
1000

Monitor
Benq G2222HDL
8100

Mouse+KB
Microsoft Combo
600

Speakers
Logitech Z-506
5000

Total
31770

The main requirement for the PC would be movies and hi quality audio along with development and office work like latest MS Visual Studio, IBM RAD, Rational Rose, Adobe Flash Builder, etc. And quite a bit of downloading.

Please let me know if there are anything would get bottlenecked or any alternate suggestions for this budget range.

Graphics card and UPS can be added later if required. As the person is not interested in games, i took out the GPU component.

Thanks for the suggestion... :)
I have a couple of questions. Is Ivy Bridge going to use the same socket as Sandy Bridge? I heard you will have to get a new motherboard anyways. And if the the person is not going to buy an upgrade CPU for the next 2-3 years, how is this futureproof, beacuse anyways, both mobo and cpu have to be changed. Is there any otehr advantage of Intel over AMD for the work that he wants to do?
For Ram, I read in the other thread that Vengeance is better than Rip Jaws. Is this version better than vengeance?
Hard Disk is his personal choice to stick with 1TB. I cant change that :(.
For this config, he is surely never going to add any high end graphics card ever. So is it ok to have FSP Saga II 500W? Or more power is needed?
Case is also his personal choice. He didnt like Gamma. Its going to be CM Elite 310 or Bijli.
LED monitor is required by his choice. Is G2220HD LED or LCD?
What about the speaker i mentioned? He is an audiophile person. I mean he sings and all. So, i took the highest speaker suggestion from the other thread. I hope its good. :)

That PSU can handle mosts configs with single graphics card(unless a person Overclocks so much that needs liquid nitrogen to cool down)

CM 310 , avoid Bilji :)

For me futureproof means you can use it for your works in future. Like I bought c2d 2.33Ghz 4yrs ago but now most of my work needs better processing speed. So it was futureproof for first 3yrs for me.

For Ram, I read in the other thread that Vengeance is better than Rip Jaws. Is this version better than vengeance?

Vengeance is better for Overclocking.I didn't notice RAM suggestion, go for G-Skill F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL@ 2k or Corsair CMV4GX3M1A1333C9@ 2k. Ripjaws X will be waste of money cause it'll run at 1333MHz after installation.

For this config, he is surely never going to add any high end graphics card ever. So is it ok to have FSP Saga II 500W? Or more power is needed?

Stick to your choice of FSP. It's more than enough.

Case is also his personal choice. He didnt like Gamma. Its going to be CM Elite 310 or Bijli.

Better go for Elite310.

LED monitor is required by his choice. Is G2220HD LED or LCD?

BenQ G2222HDL@ 8100 or DELL ST2220MB@ 8100 or ST2220L @ 8600

Better buy speakers later IMO. Not much knowledge of speakers, but X540 is good VFM AFAIK.

Seagate 1TB 7200.12@ 2.7k
LG DVD Writer@ 0.9k
FSP Saga II 500W@ 2k

You did not change the config at all. Jas' config is more futureproof.
Soundboxes that important?

@ Soumik: If you can Increase your budget get AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (Black Edition). Same price like i5 2400 but works better for your kind of work except Flash..

He needs an non gaming pc. So stick with AMD config is better IMO.

He should have filled the questionnaire. Would have made it much easier. However it seems music is very important, so a good set of speakers. I read that before. Just asking as he is prefering them over a better proc.

Yes thats rite. Sound box is really kinda important to my friend. And for just dev work and movies and songs, AMD would so fine. I know i5 is far better, but it would put the config out of his budget. I may be wrong, but i think, the harddisk speed is going to be a bottle neck while building stuff, even flash builder(for flex.. not animation), long before it would stretch any 3Gig quadcore cpu. Just my exp from ofc work that when we upgraded a pc from 2GHz Pentium D to 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo, there was simple no improvement in the speeds of the softwares. Offcourse they might be using hdds from jurassic period, but i am not sure.
I had asked my friend yesterday to take Intel instead of AMD, but he didnt agree to it seeing the price. :( I even suggested the cheapest Hexacore, 1060 i guess, but that too was strictly out of budget considering the speaker, which is really important to hism. He was getting an iBall 5.1 spreaker for 3.2k, so i urged him to go slightly above 30k and get Logitech instead.
Sorry for not filling the questionare while creating. I wanted to know if there was any problems with the config i had in mind.

yes ivybridge will work on current mobos!

ripjaws x is equally good and sometimes better.

and which type of card? 6670 type or 6850 or 6950? which?

prove it please.
