Suggestion for buying new mobile

Right off the assembly line
Hi i wanted to buy new mobile over this month...
These are my specs.
1) Budget----->18-20k
2) Display type and size---4 inch
3) Preferred input method--touchscreen
4) Preferred operating system-Andriod
5) Primary use of handset -multimedia n camera

Please suggest some nice options i should consider...:smile:

Check out Samsung Galaxy SL @18.5k. It has a 4" screen. I have used it. Its fast, but very buggy. Whenver I try to uninstall apps, the Manage App window force closes. Some apps don't run well. After prolonged use, it becomes slow. Have to reboot once a day. Samsung Kies is the worse thing in the world. Just hate it... Very little developer support @XDA.

Its good for gaming, screen is very good. Decent camera. Light weight. No lag in games. Decent GPU and processor.

If I had another chance, I would have added 4.5k to my 18.5k and get a Desire S @23k which is a lot more superior.

So, if there is any chance you can increase your budget to 23k, maybe if you can wait till July and collect that extra money, then I strongly recommend HTC Desire S.

If you cannot wait, Samsung Galaxy SL is (sadly) the only choice.

yeah even i read its battery back up is not good and all..so i dont think i can buy that.
I have these three in mind
1)Motorola MILESTONE
2)Motorola Defy
3)Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10

@AF:i heard samsung galaxy sl has poor battery back up.And after telling your personal experience i dont think i ll go for it.
About increasing the price..i dont think i can do that also.:-(
is there any chance htc desire s phone rate going down in some time ???(i heard there new mobile coming to market with dual core process and all)

^^^Rates come down all the time. Waiting a few months would make them more affordable. New phones are also coming out. You will get something soon. Keep an eye out for it...

If hackers at XDA manage to port Cyanogenmod 7 or stock Android 2.3.3 on Samsung Galaxy SL, then it would also become a great phone. Its a little weak in the software dept. I am sure it will be sorted out.

It is definitely good hardware. The bugs would be ironed out. There are Indians on XDA who have flashed the latest European version of Froyo ROM on this device, and the phone has become a lot better.

So, think about it for a few days. Read about this phone on XDA. Its a good looking phone. You might like it...

@OP, if you are getting SE X10 @ 20k or below, grab it. don't get Milestone. its old now. way too old. else get SL. battery life is not the best but with Android, even 2 days of battery life is hard to get.

xperia x10 its a very nice phone but SE really sucks in terms of service and if u can increase ur budget then go for Desire S,its a damm good phone or u can also try Desire

I wanted to know how long it will take for delivery.I am from Bangalore..!!
