Suggestion for a pc rig[help]

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: I will be using adobe photoshop, illustrator, inkscape for graphic designing!
Next I will use carbide.ui 4.3 by nokia for developing themes for symbian!!
Next I'll be developing some apps and games for wp7 using xna game studios and silver light! Also visual basic for wp7!!
I wud watch movies and nd listrn songs on 5.1 channel speakers!!
Nd some mid range good quality gaming like every latest game should atleast run in it!!
I will be using internet to manage my forum and blog too!!
Nd regular net usage!!
Other applications like video convertor and all will also be uused because I'm a youtuber too!!
So video and editing softwares should also run!!


2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ansverall budet will be 45k and it can be extended upto 52k!!

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Yes if required in future!!

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: win 7 professional and windows 8!!

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: atleast 1 Tb because themes take up a lot of space in temp folder!

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: screen size shud be 24inches nd full hd resolution!!
I prefer lg e2360v. Howz it??

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:I would be using a fresh rig!

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Starting of april 2012

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: yes!! But i got fooled nd i was handed over with a pentium 4 nd a very bad pc! So i opted for a hp laptop later!

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi! Yes I'm open enough for online purchases as i usually do online purchases!

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Yes i wud want a wifi built in bgn complaint. Nd i want a usb 3.0 A high speed dvd reader nd writer!! If possible the blu ray reader!!
I want everything to run super fast!!
Hdmi and a very good mouse and keyboard coz ill be doing graphic designing!!
Cabinet should be very good looking and it shud have memory card reader!
A web cam for skype !!
A 5.1 channel speaker with high bass!!
I'm already having a genuine win7 professional key with me so no need to include it!!
Atleast 6 gb or 8gb of ram for multitasking with atleast 1333 mhz
A dedicated graphics card!!
dedicated sound card!!
A tv tuner of possible!!
If possible then wireless keyboard but corder will also be fine!!

Nd I've heard that 3rd generation intel core processors are coming so should i wait for them???

single core performance might be lower, but in multithreaded apps u will benefit from the phenom suggested.

I noe that phenom wud perform better in multithreaded apps!!
But what about i5 2500k??

^^That's why I have suggested the Phenom. In all those apps, Phenom II 1090T and 1100T is ahead of i5 2400. Also OP has specified that he has plan for overclocking in future. You guys believe it or not: when a Phenom II X6 is overclocked to 4.2 GHz, it outperforms a Core i7 975 and performs 95% of 6 core i7 980 Extreme.

1st of all i5 2500K + Z68 config will not come to your budget if you want a balanced rig. 2ndly 1100T is also same or better in multi-threaded apps than a stock 2500K.

For many people buying a i5 2500k looks attractive but its not. Z68 has to be bough for OC. No use to buy k processor if one doesnt wants to Overclock

The 1090T would be better than i5 in multi core apps. So no point spending more and getting that.

@techfreak,you might want to change the above link as it shows i5 2400 ahead in all benchmarks except 2(x264 2nd pass & POV neglecting difference of 2 in sys2007).

@cilus,i am not much familiar with adobe photoshop, illustrator, inkscape but according to the link by @techfreak in photoshop CS4 test i5 2400 is faster than 1090T.also only core intensive applications which i can think of in which 1090T might be faster are x264 encoding(but with not much difference),POV,3d rendering(depends on software) etc.of course if overclocking i5 2500k to 4.5GHz is considered if budget permits then it is not even a competition.however because of op's budget phenom II X6 is the best & only option.

P.S.if someone thinks i am mistaken on the above point then i would be glad to be corrected on this

You can buy Sony Optiarc BD-5300S Blu-ray
Disc Writer for 7.3k. The components suggested by others are already costing 52k. So buying the blu ray writer is out of your budget. You need to either increase your budget or sacrifice in some components.

remember warranty is just 1yr. else look for WD 500Gb Blue. have 3yr warranty acc to Flipkart but acc to WD it will carry 2yr warranty.

Carbide 400R is better than most cabinets found at that price.

i5/i7 is faster than Phenom II X6 but those are theoretical numbers. in real life you won't notice much difference between Core i5/i7 & Phenom II X6. but i5 overclocked will outperform a Phenom II X6 overclocked but a descent i5 cost twice that of a Phenom II setup. main problem is the motherboard cost a lot in case of Intel.
