suggest me " laptop " (desktop replacement) ???

Acc to me, a 1.6 ghz core i7 is better than a higher clocked core 2 duo
The architecture is such that it either works as 2.8 ghz two cores or 1.6 ghz four cores X 2(Turbo Boost technology)

Sure, graphics is a problem but it is the only affordable laptop in the range
The HP i7s are in the range of 70-80k as far as i can fathom

just bought the hp dv6 2005ax..
it has the brand new AMD turion II M500(new cpu launched last month)- it is part of amd vision platform
+ u get hd4650... the best laptop for 47k
and these new turions dont get hot cuz they are built on 45nm

Why do u say.. so ?
any particular reason?
cuz the new amd turion II is built on 45 nm performs as well as intels if not better, runs cool ,gives good battery life.. so i dont see any reason to give preference to intel

i'm saying this after using my laptop for more than 10 days..its my personal experience

^^yes. even in the recent battery tests conducted (by pcworld I think), centrino 2 platform was way ahead in power management and heat dissipation.

Turion is evolving but is not yet a competitor to core2duo Mobile
