I need to buy a mobile just to pick up and answer calls. May be a few sms as well..

Kindly suggest a best low cost mobile phone for the same.

You can take approx budget as 1.5k (note : i don't require any other functionality apart from what mentioned above)

dnt buy the xpressradio d keypad is hard ar rock
go for a rubber type keypad & long battery life

+1 to Gollum. used it. the keypad is good for a 1.5k mobile though it cost around 2k here.

Just got today for a friend...simple UI...good battery life...kind-of dual sim...easy rubber buttons..radio...headset free
it have 3.5mm jack...u can connect ep630 to hear radio...torch(single led)

what do mean, kind-of **** sim. Is it dual sim or not?

Kind-of dual sim means...no dual standby...if one sim is activated other will be switched off although its registered as a miss call...changing from 1 sim to other is very easy just press * for 2 sec and change from 1st sim to 2nd.

Any more suggestion please. So far seems nokia c1 looks good. Even micro max q1 also seems decent with dual sim n qwerty keyboard. Any idea whether it's dual stand by or not ?

Go with Micromax Q1. Its a VFM for that price.
