Please suggest a good graphics card better than existing 8400GS..........just for playing of games of three years old.......
I am a fan of total war games. 8400GS does not play NTW even at low settings.
Refer my signature for my system settings..
My budget is 2.8k.......

What is your monitor resolution? I have a 9500gt 1gb ddr 2 for sale, for less than your budget. It ran games that were 3 years old pretty good at 1600x900. I am talking about the likes of Mafia II and GTA IV at medium settings.

A used 9500GT should be priced between 1500-1800 depending on conditions. And yes, its definitely good than 8400GS, but extending budget to more 400-500 rupees won't hurt the economic life.

Even if it has 1 and half years warranty left? I put it for sale on OLX at 2k. :p

and as the others said, if your budget is 2.8k I suggest you add 3 to 4 hundred and get a DDR3 card, will be much better. :)
