Suggest a Good Scanner

Hello Friends,


I would like to purchase a scanner which can scan colour as well as black and white Documents and books , I cam across one company- the name is Plustek, it claims it is in Document imaging business since last 20 years, i would also like to scan books, is the company reliable and better then Epson , HP and Cannon.

there are many factors governing scanners :

1. resolution required 300dpi / 600 dpi etc..
2. built quality office scanners/4 in 1 scanner/handheld/ flatbed
3. technical details of responsiveness and lamp hours etc...
4. OCR software supplied etc

every scanner today scans in color (it is up to you for the quality of image)

HP is quick, compact, and cheap (OCR not included) works for me.
