StreamUpload, *www.streamupload.com , a Web 2.0 file upload service has released a new technique called clustered results when searching for files with tags.

"What is a "clustered result?"
Well, its a unique yet simple search technique, making use of the collaborative file tagging feature of StreamUpload.
When you search for files usually, based on a tag, the search engine, along with the actual results, also returns all the other files, having common tags with that of the files contained in the search result.
For example, Say you are searching for files based on a tag "Ferrari" and files with that tag also have another tag say "car" associated with them. Now the clustered results would show you all other files with the tag "car"! So, when you are searching for tag "Ferrari", you would also see results for bmw, porsche, honda etc. That is, the clustered results will show all the other files that has the same tags as all the distinct tags associated with the files in the search result.
This way, you get not only what you are looking for, but also all other results that is linked in some way to your current search. This is not some advanced artificial thinking at work, but simple harnassing of collective human intelligence. Aren't the users are the ones who tag the file in the first place?
