Streaming Video!

Can anyone please suggest me a software with which I can capture online/streaming video and save it to my harddrive as a file???
Help needed fast.

But i think the vlc player asks u to input the direct link to the file you want to caputre.

i.e.
you cannot capture videos available on wiamp's website.

u can find the video link by clicking on 'view file info' while the video is playing.

digitalbrat, does the VLC player capture videos streamed in macromedia flash too?
