uninstall Klite codec pack & install Vista Codec Package by Shark007. its fully compatible with WinXp. or if you using Win7 download & install Windows 7 Codecs by same author (but not Windows 7 Codec Pack)

i check the battery in other laptop with same model but it worked fine,i brought new battery too,but problem is same,i uninstal klite codec and install vista codec as well adain install klite codec up to date, after uninstalling vista codec, now wmp play dvd files while i unplug power but it just plays sound i mean i can hear sound but cant see video,i have on automatic updates and it keeps on updating windows,my friend told me that this problem is due to windows updates is he right??

did u change the power plan ?

what is the res of video u are trying to play ??

updates are meant to improve performance & functionality, not remove them.

one thing.. provide the system specification and the model number of laptop

Did you updated or installed new Graphics Drivers for your system ?
In-correct drivers tend to cause this type of problems.

Either uninstall the Graphics Driver completely and then instal the correct drivers again or update the old one (as per your systems required configuration).

If this still does not solve ur problem then please post your system specs here.
