I have a plan to have a SSD as boot drive....

My plan is to use a SSD for windows 7 OS + some essential applications and keep all other applications, games in HDDs......
For this a 32gb SSD is enough?
KingSpec 32GB 4CH 2.5

Please advice.............

In my opinion, it's more than enough unless you install some heavy-apps (like Photoshop) in your SSD.

An SSD performs better if it has some empty space on it. Consider buying a 128 GB drive at least. The price difference isn't too much these days. And as suggested above, get Crucial M4/OCZ Vertex 4/Samsung 830, as these are some of the best drives in the market.

Is there a ratio as to how much % of free space ssd should have before we hit speed performance? I need 30gb disk for my OS & I plan to buy 60gb corsair.

The waiting game can go on forever ;-)

@ Op - if you need a SSD now - read some review and get a good one of 60-64 GB capacity.
