speakers connected to TV?

hi,

i hav this mercury speakers which i used before getting a creative 5.1 and i wudnt like to waste it either. is there a way i cud use it to plug in to my TV? if possible, cud any1 give me the idea or any tutorial which explains how it cud be done. thk you.

yea those mercury spkrs probably fit into a standard headphone jack but that'll mean muting the tv spkrs n reduction in sound quality cuz i don't respect the sound quality of mercury spkrs tht much. wht u cld do is get one of those convertor plugs tht convert the component (L/R) output of the Line out jack of the TV into a single stereo jack tht u cld plug ur spkrs into.

d, that was too much of terminology which only made me feel ignorant abt the L/R o/ps! now i need to plug in these speakers only additionally since i dont want to go into baskets.... is that wat u suggested ur idea for? if so i ll try it. cud u be pls mre eloborate but?

hi legolas sorry i tend to get carried away.


by L/R, i meant the left and right channel line out audio jacks from ur tv...they'll usually be coaxial jacks, in red and white. so wht u need is a convertor tht plugs into those jacks and offers a standard headphone jack (3.5 mm) for ur mercury spkrs(assuming tht's wht they hv)...a good one shld cost u less thn 50 bucks...tht's wht it cost me!
