hey everyone!
i would like to know if there is any increase in the quality of the sound of a music file originally in the MP3 format, after the format is changed to a lossless format, e.g WMA lossless.
to put it another way, will changing the format from MP3 to WMA lossless enhance the sound quality?

I really doubt that. Because the data loss has already taken place while encoding to mp3. But I'm not sure. Lemme search a little

You will not gain anything. alib_i is correct. The sound loss has already taken place when you encoded it to MP3. So no use converting it to lossless.

alib_i is absolutely right.... As the data loss has already taken place, you cannot just have the lost part back...
