If you are OK with HP, check out DV4 3016TX @ 42k and DV6 6140TX @ 48k. Both have much better specs than the two sonys.

These two are very different laptops, so specify your needs first. . The SB has faster components, is lighter, has a backlit keyboard, a slightly better screen, much better battery life + option to get sheet battery for upto 12 hour battery life, much more portable, has USB 3.0, and is more expensive as you realize lol.
I would say if you can, go for SB. Its an overall better machine.
