Windows 8 copy speed itself fast.
You can also try Teracopy.

no software will actually speed up transfer speeds. it depends upon the hardware's capabilities, power to usb port, usb port type, etc. although you can get better copy-paste management by using 3rd party applications like teracopy mentioned above.

I agree with saiyan,Teracopy actually increases speed of copying files by allowing multiples copies of files to be copied simultaneously.
