Should I change DNS server settings?

I don't hold much of an idea about this but this stupid understands that some DNS addresses are/will be affected on 9th July, i.e tomorrow. I saw this article today on Tech2 which said one can change the DNS address to open servers like Google and else, is that really true and would it be helpful and should one really change?

Change DNS settings to avoid DNSChanger blackout

Thanks in advance.

Saurav.

PS: If this has been already discussed please pardon me for opening another thread. Lazy boy here :p

Not very difficult to change to Google DNS is it. Their address is 8.8.8.8 by the way. Their DNS is lot faster than most ISP's in India so would recommend you to change it anyways

don't forget to change the default password of your router/modem which is more important than changing DNS address.

I saw this issue on Television News. I think you don't need to change your DNS Server settings. Because you know about medias.
