Yes I know that. I was asking why would anyone remove the aluminum cover.

BTW this pic is not of the iPhone 3G. It is of the 1st gen iPhone with a black rear. You can see the plastic antenna part at the bottom which the iPhone 3G lacks. Plus the iPhone 3G has a glossy back that rises in the centre and tapers at the ends.

What about the Nokia 8XXX series phones, 7610, 6300, 7260, 6170, 7280, L'Amour series phones, N76, N93i? Also there many other good lookin phones from Nokia.

n76 is a copy of the razr and the n93 is a brick...disasters by nokia..

6300 is real cool..but no breakthroughs in design.
